Our Mission
The mission of Tabernacle Kids Early Learning Center is to assist parents in developing the mind of Christ in the lives of students through academic, physical, social, and spiritual training for the glory of God.
We are dedicated to supporting families in fulfilling their God-given responsibility to rear their children in the knowledge and love of the Lord. Grounded in Scripture (Deuteronomy 6:7, Proverbs 22:6), we provide a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment where children can grow spiritually, socially, and academically. Our purpose is to prepare children for a lifetime of faith by sowing seeds of biblical truth, love, and service at an early age, knowing that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10).

History of Tabernacle Christian School
Since 1970, our private Christian school has provided a nurturing learning environment for our students. Tabernacle Christian School was founded in the fall of 1970 and continues as one of the longest-operating private schools in Hickory, North Carolina. We are a ministry of Tabernacle Baptist Church and a member of the North Carolina Christian Schools Association and the American Association of Christian Schools. For over fifty years, we have served families with students preschool – 12th grade from Catawba County and the surrounding areas. The addition of the Early Learning Center expands our educational ministry to include infants through two-year-olds.

Starting in our K1 classroom, children must be born on or before August 31 to be eligible for that age group. Children are promoted to the next age group in August, based on their age at that time, not their birthdate.
