  • My child is three. Does he have to be potty trained?

Students in the K3 and K4 preschool program must have reached their third birthday by August 31 and be independently potty trained. This means that the child is able to take care of their own needs in the restroom without adult assistance and with minimal prompting. Training pants, pull-ups, and disposable diapers are not permitted.

  • What are your health and safety practices?

The health and safety of our staff and students are our highest priorities. We take pride in upholding rigorous standards of safety and cleanliness.

Staff and children must be fever-free for 24 hours before coming to school.

Toys and common touch areas are disinfected frequently throughout the day.

Crib sheets are laundered weekly. Cot sheets are laundered at the end of the week.

We will maintain low student to teacher ratios.

ALL staff has regular health and safety training including CPR, First Aid,  SIDS and emergency  protocols.

  • Do you serve hot lunch?

Parents of children 6 weeks-15 months provide for their own child's nutritional needs throughout the day. Children 15 months-4 years will receive a morning snack, hot lunch, and an afternoon snack. Half-day K3 and K4 students will receive a morning snack. If your child has a food allergy, we offer nutrition opt-out forms, allowing you to pack your child's snacks and lunch.

  • Does my child have to take a nap? What is the policy?

Nap time is a requirement for each child daily. While each child may not fall asleep, each child is expected to lie quielty and rest. Children sleeping on cots may bring a blanket for naptime provided it is small enough to fit inside a standard size backpack. Infants will be assigned a crib, while all other children will rest on cots. Since infants will nap throughout the day, we will be working on nap schedules s they develop. Infants are not allowed blankets or stuffed animals in their cribs and are not allowed to be swaddled. Footed pajamas are recommended for their time at the center so infants stay warm enough during nap time. All children twelve months or younger will be placed on their backs at nap time. Please see the Tabernacle Kids Early Learning Center's Safe Sleep Policy for Infants, found in your enrollment packet, for more details.
